I’m an illustrator and writer based in Cornwall.
I create illustrations commissioned by a variety of clients, specialising in botanicals, nature illustration and children’s books. I also work with museums and heritage sites to create site specific illustrations for interpretation purposes, which can range from large scale historical reconstructive illustrations to illustrating content for children’s art packs.
Children’s book’s are a passion and my first book ‘Cornish Mice and the Treasure Garden’ will be published in 2020 by Choughin books, http://www.tormark.co.uk/
I’m currently working on my second children’s book.
As well as stories for children, I write short stories, radio plays and I’m currently working on my first full length play. I have performed my work at the Great Estate festival in 2018 and 2019. I regularly attend writing groups at the Writer’s Block in Camborne.
I find inspiration everywhere. Forgotten histories and historical fragments often spark ideas, as well as natural forms, and the spirit of historic places. I'm interested in storytelling across the forms of word and image.
